Doug Lerner reports from Tokyo and St. Louis, and points beyond…

The magnitude 6.1 earthquake in the screenshot occurred a bit over an hour ago, followed quickly by two aftershocks of magnitude 4.9 and 4.7.
This time the epicenter was almost directly on top of Tokyo as you can see (actually slightly to the east in Chiba prefecture) very close to my house, so it shook quite a bit. No damage in my house, but it lasted for several minutes.
Actually, it’s probably a good thing I haven’t put stuff back on shelves yet that fell from the 3/11 earthquake.
